Bushing Using Wrong Chisel Paste

FEL-TECH chisel paste provides superior lubrication of hydraulic hammers.  Our chisel paste is fortified with over 16% copper and graphite solids to provide excellent protection under extreme pressures and high temperatures.  Chisel paste utilizes a calcium Sulfonate complex thickener. This thickener has excellent high temperature, extreme pressure, and heavy load carrying capabilities. The hydraulic hammer grease is then formulated with an ISO 460 Heavy Duty base oil to provide extra protection. 

Our high temperature lubricant formulated to prevent excessive circumferential makeup. It assures full hydraulic joint efficiency by allowing joint shoulders to mate completely without standoff or deformation. It is formulated with an ISO 460 base oil to provide heavy load carrying capability. Then, the grease is fortified with 17%+ copper flakes and graphite solids to provide protection in the harshest environments. The high solid content provides dry film lubrication and anti-seize properties up to 1800°F.

FEL-TECH CHISEL PASTE also features an amazing 800 weld point score. The four ball EP (Extreme Pressure) test is a measurement of the load bearing capacity of grease, or in other words, the amount of pressure that a grease can withstand and still operate under. In the test, three ball bearings are coated with the grease to be tested, and the fourth ball bearing is rotated against the three stationary ball bearings. The amount of pressure (measured in kilogram force—Kgf) is increased, until at some point the grease fails to lubricate effectively, and the balls weld together. A higher weld point is an indication that the grease is able to withstand greater amounts of heat and pressure. 800 kg is the maximum score possible.
